  1. Need Help ID Tang Ailment

    Hello All,

Suddenly, my Atlantic/Caribbean Blue Tang came down with a bunch of brown marks. They are not round, but irregular shapes. The skin is a little inflamed around each of the marks. They are on both sides of the fish, but more on the side shown below. So far, his appetite and general demeanor are unchanged.

A friend provided me this link to common fish diseases: http://www.chucksaddiction.com/disease.html To me, it would appear to be the first "ailment" ...
  2. VorTech Question?

    Hey guys,

Real quick. I've been saving up for a set of VorTech MP10wES pumps. However, I have a 4ft. long standard shape 75 gallon tank. I was wondering if two MP10s would provide enough flow? To give a bit more background, I am planning to place the MP10s on the tank's sidewalls. 3. LFS: PureReef in Alpharetta, Georgia

Another destination stop I had to make whilst in Georgia was PureReef. It is a spacious clean store with attention to detail. The woodwork throughout the store was enviable and made the establishment enjoyable to peruse.

  4. quick update

Since my last post an unexpected snow and ice storm and much colder than normal temps have hit western Washington. Along with the snow and ice came some unexpected expenditures, power failures, missed work, etc. Isn't that always the way.

Anyway, I finally decided to put the tank in the spare bedroom to replace the seams rather than wating on the temperature to rise above 40 so I could do it in the garage. I closed the door and put a fan in the window while I worked. I used All Glass ...

  5. Floggin's 75 Gallon tank build.

Well this is my first saltwater build. I have a few friends in the hobby and just loved looking at there tanks and finally decided to switch my 55 gallon freshwater tank to a 75 Gallon saltwater tank.

So first I bought a 75 Gallon tank and stand for only $100 from the owner of my LFS. I ordered a 700gph overflow box kit from glass-holes and originally was going to install it on my 55 gallon, but in the process the tank cracked on the last hole to drill. So I opted to go bigger and got ...
