  1. New Rockwork and Tank Update

Did a lot of work to the tank last night and this morning. Last night I did a really thorough cleaning where I blew off all of the rocks and stirred the sand around as I did my water change. Cleaned off all the glass this morning and such as well. Because of the cleaning I've got some diatoms this evening. They weren't there yesterday... and I doubt they'll be there tomorrow. At least I hope they're gone! ;-) I've got some new corals since the last time I took pics too. I've got two blue ...

  3. Don't be a n00b!!!!

So I haven't been super active on here lately, having a lot to do with the fact that I recently moved and have been going through a bunch of crap with my tank. Since reseting the system up in January I have been battling STN on all of my SPS and have basically gone through and tried to correct for every possible cause of general SPS unhappiness. Alk: 9.5 dkh
    Calc: ...

  5. Sally, I'm sorry.

I recently found my alkalinity went to 6.1 dkh. I dosed within a few hours to bring to 7.1 in a 24 period. Will dose again to bring to 8.0 ish... So, I was cleaning the tank this morning and was saddened to see my Sally Light Foot Crab "belly up" on the bottom I know invertebrates are often sensitive to ph and alk swings.... Here are a few pics that I took, morbid curiosity.
