So I think I have figured out a way to make my system better! (i.e. more complicated) Now that I have everything up and running I am finding permanent homes for all of my equipment and have a little space open that I don't have anything for! As a result, I think I would like to put a frag tank in that is plumbed into my system. As it would sit I have easy access to my main return pump to draw off of for water intake. Well, after trying everything less than a thermonuclear device I still have Maidens Hair in my tank. I've reduced the lighting, manually removed it, and reduced my feeding. I use Elos test kits and my Phosphates are 0, Nitrates 0, Nitrites 0??? I have read that you can have a tank full of algae and read 0 on Phosphates due to the algae consuming it all. I have noticed my Chaeto seems to be getting smaller, it still looks ok nice and dark green. I'm not running any reactors, but am ...

I got a few frags the yesterday and wanted to post some pics! Also I said a question on my last blog about this new bright green thin algae only growing on my dry rock I put in my tank. It doesn't grow on the live rock though. I had brown algae for a few weeks and then it went away. (still have a bit on substrate) What do y'all think about the algae? I bought some frags yesterday and I have a few questions: 1) the frags thatare on them pegs that you push into the sand-if I want to mount them on a rock, how would I remove that little "tit" that you push in the sand? 2) I have that 2-part putty, it really doesn't hold to good I think. What do y'all think? Should I just use super glue gel, are use both? 3) I have a frag no on the frag peg, do I just mount it on a rock? Any advice? ...
