  3. FX5 update, sun polyp linkia

    Alright, FX5 is beasting, I hate canisters for the common fact you can't SEE what's going on, my old MAG 350s on FOs at least you could gauge flow and "crap." SKIMMERS at least get the waste out, not trapped in the system. I WANT A SUMP/ REFUGIUM. Checking out CPR hangon. Sorry, to drift off, topic at hand is, my red linkia star is eating my Sun polyps. Fed the Suns last night, saw the star on top of the colony today. Moved the star and have sucked out, white out polyps. Anybody's info ...

  4. Shade, please

    Too much light spilling in from my refugium required me to do something. Since I'm totally out of black acrylic, I thought I'd get some coroplast at Hobby Lobby. However, they had none and stopped selling it. Wandering around the store, I found sheets of black foam 3mm thick, about the size of a placemat. Each sheet was $0.99, so I bought four.

  5. Tank update and some new pics

    I haven't updated my pics in a while, but I've been fighting with the tank a lot. I have had some issues with frags not growing, and even a complete lack of polyp extension in SPS with browning out too. On top of that I got a GHA outbreak. I thought I'd been doing ok, but it really forced me to take a long, hard look at the way I kept my tank. I had cheaped out on my test equipment, so I decided it was time for an upgrade.
