75g February update with a crappy camera

Well, the fishless reef is actually doing very good as far as inverts and corals go. I've finally had some decent success with sps corals, letting them encrust down onto the rocks plugless for a more natural look. I can't wait to get some fish back in this tank in a month or two, but I'm definitely not rushing anything in after losing everything during the transition to ich. If I had kept it sterile all along, it wouldn't have even been there to infect my fish and they probably would have made it... but alas.. hindsight yadda yadda. Anyways some pics and some of the new additions.

First off, to appease our wonderous member Mr. Can I haz your full tank shots Hat.

My RBTA I got from Dr. Mac. This is exactly where I laid it in the tank too, so I'm quite surprised it hasn't moved one bit in just about a month.

This Frogspawn has been with me since I started keeping corals in the 29g. It's been like 2 years I've had it, and the entire time up until now it stayed at the original 3 heads I picked it up as. Well thankfully I noticed last night that each head is actually dividing now in the new tank... almost into thirds on some of them. Amazing what a completely thought out setup can do for your corals once you have some experience.

Generic run of the mill Pink Birds nest I got from Dr. Mac as well too. It has happy polyp extension so I think that's a good sign, even though you can't see too well in the pics. It's also already encrusting the super glue down at the base

Here's a Lime Green acro also from Dr. Mac. I probably should have stood this up a bit more for better lighting as the bottom of it has turned a darker green, however it too is starting to grow over the super glue and seems to be quite happy in the tank.

My Ricordea are doing great, though there is still a bit of leftover cyano from when I started using the bio pellets on this fresh system. It's about 90% gone now in the tank, I just have to get a few more spots, and when the new powerheads get here they should help with that too.

Another nice pickup from Dr. Mac... almost a 4" frag because the slightly smaller ones he had on the rack I was looking at were the WYSIWYG frags on his site, and he didn't want to have to upload new pictures of one... so he gave me a mini colony at the same price

My (according to local reefers Tyree neon green toadstool) want it to be like melev's old toadstool and a nice plate coral I picked up at a LFS the other night.

And on this piece I'm playing the coral lottery. I snagged it from the $10 rack at the same store I got the plate from. It's very brown but in just a few days of my tank I've already started seeing a bit of color coming in around the mouth of it. In a few days I'm going to move it to an even higher light area to see what this thing colors up into if anything at all.

We have our local Frag Fest on the 19th, so I'll be bringing home about 12 more additions to the tank to add to the others. I also have some stuff that this old camera just won't get good pics of, like a purple with lime rim and orange mouth chalice frag from Dr. Mac... the Dr. Mac alien eye chalice (which unfortunately I bleached pretty badly... it's recovering so no pics), zoanthids and some orange montipora digitata also from Dr. Mac.

Marc has built tanks for the good Dr. before for some shows, and if you haven't checked them out, you really seriously need to.

His store is absolutely amazing, far beyond ANYTHING I have ever seen in a standard fish store. Not your standard coral chop shop like some of the other places I've been to.
