Being a high-octane fish geek, I'm always on the lookout for something new and different. Travelling as much as I do, I get to spend lots of time in different fish stores and visiting different aquariums. This weekend, it was the DFWMAS. Following the meeting, Marc, Drew and Gina Richardson, my Girlfriend Michelle and I found ourselves at one of Dallas' high end aquarium stores.

Eager to spend Marc's money to help stock up his tank, we spied an unusual starfish called the 'Beadel ...

Today, I discovered a lot of white dots on the black overflow panel in my reef. It's impossible to get a decent picture because I have to shoot at an angle through 3/4" glass. The interesting things is each dot is hanging off the wall like skin tags, at a downhill angle. Looking closely, each one seems to have 10 or 12 eggs inside.





So unless they grow ...

I got my new Orange Spotted File Fish (Oxymonacanthus longirostris) from Diver's Den. Here is a little video

Now some of you may be thinking "What a nut job!" doesn't he know they eat sps polyps. My response is yes, I am a nut job and I do know what they eat.
