I've recently just completed a mini energy/utility use audit in an effort to reduce my overhead/operating costs on my system. I can successfully say that I was able to lower my utility bills considerably by swapping out a 250w MH for a Kessil light and a number of smaller minor equipment tweaks. ...

  3. Pico (De Gallo) Lessons Learned

I let the tank run for about 5 days and didn't see anything being picking up on the tests, at the LFS.
So I decided to pick up some fish..
A Little Cherub Angelfish, approx. 1.5" and a Yellow Watchman Goby, approx. 1" and a Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp.

The first night the Cherub found a hiding spot and went to sleep. Nothing to worry about there.

But the Yellow Watchman constantly tried to jump. Thankfully the tank came with a glass cover and he was ...
  4. Major creature upgrade

Got some beautiful looking natural live rocks, two small peppermint shrimp, a nice small leather coral, a few Trumpets, some Zoanthus and Palithoa, a medium Galaxea, a small Xenia and some scattered greenish Mushroom ...

Setosa I started with a small 3/4" stick a little over two years ago and now it's a 12" x 9" colony. It started encrusting well then started growing fingers. ...
