  1. LED's Does anyone on here have them on their reef tank?

I was simply wondering if anyone has built their own LED lighting system. I read two articles online about it and I totally want to try it. I have a 55 gallon tank, it's a fish only system for now because I haven't gotten up to the high end lighting that is required for a reef tank. Just wondering if anyone has tried this fairly new technology out yet. Here are some plans that I found:

  2. New Reefscape

OK as of next month my reef will be four years old. So a few corals have grown somewhat large for my little 65 gallon. So I decided it was time to re-reefscape my tank. 4. Got another toy. :)

I ordered a Majano Zapper from PaulB last week. This is a device that was cleaned up from the version I posted about last January / February when a buddy of mine let me watch his DIY handiwork in Seattle take out some pest anemones. PaulB decided he could make a better mousetrap and fabricated something I was willing to hold -- after all, it is an electrical device we submerge in our saltwater system!

Before you ask, I don't know if he's going to make any more of these at the moment ...

I actually said "pet rock" when describing live rock to a friend today. Most of my aquascape is base rock from Marco Rocks, and I purchased several small pieces of live rock from a local store to seed the tank with yummy bacteria.

The live rock on the right side will eventually fill the gap near the center of the aquascape, but I have it in the open sand and close to the ...
