  1. Back in the Game!

    Looks like I'm getting my old 55 gal set up back soon!

    Here's what it looked like a year ago when I had to give it away.

    I'm currently shopping around for a used 75 to upgrade too.

    And here's what it looks like today.

  2. The temporary aquarium is here

    With the 400g needing to be repaired or replaced, I had to do something for the current livestock. I called a local fish store that often sells used aquariums, looking for something big enough for my reef. He called me back within minutes letting me know he had a 215g that would work out great.

  3. So your battling bryopsis? Here is how I got rid of mine.

    For anyone who has ever battled Satan's algae (bryopsis) currently or in the past know that it can be a very daunting task and will test your mettle to the point that giving up even crosses our minds. Bryopsis is not your typical algae, it does not require high nitrates or phosphates to thrive. Bryopsis will strike a clean spotless tank just the same as a dirty tank so despite what you may have been told if all you have is bryopsis in your tank then you do not have phosphates leaking from your live ...
  4. ughh i got my new aquarium yesterday....

    Yesterday while i was at school my dad made the 6hour round trip to pick up my aquarium after a begged and pleaded lol

    today i polished the glass and inspected it.....look at the pics i could of done a better job...im actually scared to put water in it...what do you think!?

    so i finally got all my equipment and time and set up my 150.

    tank is 60x24x24 starphire front oceanic tank
    sump is custom built by Elegant Reef here in san antonio(which is where i got all my equipment)24x20 refugium in front
    skimmer is a sea side aquatics CS-2
    return pump 2x sicce syncra 2.0
    2x mp40-es
    light is only temp 2x 250 and 2x t5(radions coming soon)
    Reef keeper elite running the whole show
