  1. How time flies...

    As the need arises, I perform water tests for various parameters, but usually I do the full battery of tests monthly at the minimum. Much to my shock, I discovered that I've not done so since Dec 31, 2009! So here are my results from today.



    The one number that is the biggest concern is Phosphate, which is way out of whack. It isn't surprising because my skimmer hasn't been operating correctly for some time now, ...

  3. Sunburn from a MH bulb

    So yesterday I was in the studio doing a photoshoot for a aquarium lighting manufacturer who hired me to shoot some product shots of a T5 & and a MH fixture. I had to remove the glass over the bulbs to cut back on the reflections created by the intense studio lighting. I ended up working on each fixture for a little over an hour each. And wrapped up the shoot and went home.

    Greetings Fellow Reef Addicts! Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to the site and other members. My name is Chuck Horne and I'm in Chesapeake, Va.
