  1. question on sps coral shapes

I am building out my SPS dominated reef. My question is when most people refer to a colony, are they just refering to an sps piece fully grown out?

The second part of that is do all frags grow into colonies? For example i have a nice birds nest that is the exact shape as a half circle and 5 inches in diameter - i assume this is a colony. My staghorn acrapora is nice, but it grows up and sprouts a few branches - but does not look like it will ever become that half circle colony, it ...
  2. yellow tang

i am looking to add some fish. Since i have had prior problems with semi-aggressive fish, i typically stick to only peaceful fish. 5. My fork in the road - Ultra Low Nutrient levels

Marc, You have always been a great resource as I have gone through my reefing journey. You built my sump and have answered numerous questions for me. My tank has been established for a year and is thriving. Over the last three months I have been adding corals. So far everything is thriving, although I have had some algee issues - which i hope are gone for good now. In taking my reef to the next level, I feel like I have a decision to make and have no idea which way to go.
