Ok so I have been through a lot with my current tank and set up but I am starting to lose some very hardy corals and as well there are some things and corals I would like to rid my tank of (blue clove polyps, xenia.) My rock I bought "live" but it is not very porous and I think may be leaching some bad into my water as well. So I am thinking about "starting over" and wanted to get some input. hello i thought i would update everyone on my build progress. my sand came in today i ordered 75lbs of fiji pink from carib sea, yesterday i finished my plumbing up and i filled the closed loop intake line up with water to sorta leak test it so far so good we will find out for sure when its running. and right now my tank is being filled up with ro water it should be done some time tomorrow and ill start heating the water and testing the closed loop then ill get my salt mixed in. ...
Hello all! For lack of better terms I would consider myself a "water nazi". I sample my water at least three times a week to verify everything is at its proper levels. After I test my water, I usually make a trip to my local LFS to make sure my tests are accurate. The last test I conducted yielded these results: PH - 8.2 Salinity 1.025 Phosphates 0.0 Nitrates 0.0 Calcium 500 Magnesium 1350 Alkalinity 8.9 About my tank: 75 gallon ...
Well the Algae issues that i was experiencing are gone, they have moved on to the next new tank. The Zoas are opened and the fish are Fat and happy. And here are some weeds This is that 48" LED strip from Reefkoi.com, I am very happy with it for the $149.00 price tag.
