  1. A few pictures of my tank

I thought that I would post a few pictures of my tank. It's a standard 90 gallon tank with 2 250W MH, and 4 65W PC's. It's mostly soft corals but there is a few LPS and SPS corals. I also tried to get a good picture of my newest fish, a purple tang. But he's fast and hard to get good pictures of. And I just have a little PHD (push here dumby) camera. I'm currently working on getting my in wall 180 set up that will have a fish only 125 tied into it as well.

  2. Led, metal halide, or t5

Hi everyone. I'm looking to get coral pretty soon. And I'm looking for some advise on the lighting. The guy at the local fish store said t5 would be sufficient but when I asked him about metal halide he said it would be too hot and I would have to buy a chiller which is 400 to 500 dollars. I was also wondering about led. My tank is 48 inches long and 12 inches wide. I don't want to spend more than 400 dollars. Thanks all. Please feel free to suggest anything.

  4. While at Midwest Frag Fest...

... I found myself in Dirk's booth looking for treasure for the new 400g. Picked up a new cleaning magnet for the 3/4" thick glass, three 300w heaters, a Coralife Turbo-Sea 1090 pump for the 265g saltwater reservoir, and two new bulkheads for the new sump I'm going to build.

I saw lots of nice corals at very affordable pricing. Wish I could have brought some home, but there's no benefit to doing that now.

EDIT: Here's a picture of this weekend's haul. Included ...
