  2. My inner mad scientist is begging to be let out.

    Having recently found my self suddenly and unexpectedly unemployed, I have too much time on my hands. While it's been great for my clean up efforts, it also allows me way too much time to invent, reinvent and experiment. I love to experiment and DIY different little ideas.   3. Calcium reactor advice

    Hi everybody.

    I need some advice on buying a calcium reactor. Could I please get some recommendations on brands / models. Never had one before, I'm getting sick and tired of constantly adding calcium and carbonate hardness. From my understanding I will also need a controller and C02? My expectations would be for it to control my calcium and KH levels. We are also going to Europe for 6 weeks, so I need a solution so that I can just get someone top off RO and not have to worry about ...

  4. Cycle complete. yayyy!!!!!!!

    Well, it has been just over 7 months now and all my algea is gone. my rocks have turned from a pale white to a dark grey. some area's are starting to turn a dark pink which is cool. I have now in the tank, a Hammer coral which is growing rather nicely in the last 2 months and a duncan which I bought with 2 heads now has started to grow. last time I counted I have 9 new head split all over the place.   5. Stand structurally complete

    The stand is structurally complete. I added some lower cross braces between the legs, some middle cross braces across the top, and doubled up the beams on three sides.



    If you look in the picture below, you can tell that the two long directions are not symmetric. The side on the left of this picture will be bolted to the wall and will use the wall frame for addition structural strength. ...
