  1. My 240g upgrade

    Well after a few years in the hobby I feel its time for an upgrade. What better time to look for a larger tank than when the wife is out of town.

    So I started searching for a larger tank, luck lead me to a nice 240g along with 2 ice cap ballast's, rubbermaid holding tank, reef flo pump, and a whole lot of plumbing.

    Step 1. Call wife and tell her I'm buying a tank-check

    Step 2. Find a place to put it-Check

  2. My Auto Top Off

    So I finally got around to setting up the auto top off. I do spend a lot of time away from the reef and decided that, though I love my wife dearly, she won't always remember to check on the tank. So I spent about 30 dollars on parts from http://www.aquahub.com. I actually got 3 float switches, the third I may add to the reservoir or just hang on to for a spare.   3. My 75g RR tank build! / Update: Canopy/Lighting

    I was going to do one big update but decided to break it up. This part is about my canopy. The system I got was a few years old and was really a fixer upper.

    Son-in-law Tim helping me! They had some bad wood on canopy, looked like it wasn't seal to great! He took off all bad wood.

    He replaced with all new wood. Notice I taped off the VHO caps to get ready for sealing and painting.

  4. Fire and Rain

    My neighbor showed up pounding on my front door while I was busy measuring PAR in the fishroom. Turns out a small fire ignited on the transformer behind my house. And it's raining!
