  1. My first reef tank...going strong so far

    Its almost three weeks now since I set up my tank. If you saw my previous posts then you know that I've got an atypical setup for a newbie because I bought a tank that came with a hippo tang and lots of fully cured liverock encrusted various corals. Water chemistry is doing great!n I experienced a little nitrogen and phosphorous spike the first, probably due to a mini die off from the live rock being transported to its new home.   2. Starting a Tank Makeover On Our 200 gal Aquarium

    Our 200 gal tank which has been setup for five years now is totally overgrown with various SPS corals. It was so bad that the Red Monti Cal and Pink Birdsnest was growing on the front glass. This weekend we fragged and sold most of those corals and now have space to start our makeover since we have the space now to add new corals. Here are some pictures

  4. My little frag tank

    I run a 27G (24x24x11") zoanthid-heavy frag tank in my garage, and thought I would share!

    It is lit by a Reeflux 20K 250W DE in a Sunlight Supply Pendant, ran by a Galaxy ballast. Filtration comes by way of an Aqua-C Remora, and circulation by a Koralia 2 and Seio Prop.

  5. New look

    Ive been toying with the idea of reaquascaping 2/3rds of my tank for about six months now. I finally did it in the first stages of becoming more electrically ecofriendly.
    The first step is to take out some of my less desirable acros and make more swim room for my three tangs.
    The tangs are very energetic tonight swimming around agressively exploring all of the new nooks and crannies along with swimming the full length of the tank.
