  2. Mp10es falling off!

    I recently purchased 2 brand new MP10es Vortech marine pumps for $22 dollars a piece. they were shipped too my store and sat in a closet for about 2 years and then went on clearance so I could not pass them up!!!! now one of the pumps is fully operational and works amazingly.   3. Carbon dosing and low PH Help

    Hi everyone,

    Recently I have been having some problems with my tank. My nitrates were on the rise, they ended up getting to 40 ppm, I did constant large water changes and started using bio pellets but things just got worse. Since then I removed the bio pelltets and went back to basics. I ended up discovering that my sand bed was the cause of my nitrate problems. Slowly I removed my sand bed and after all of it was gone my nitrates have fallen to below 10ppm.

  4. Possible Lighting Intensity Issue Causing Tissue Necrosis on SPS Corals.

    I have run into my first major issue with my reef aquarium. I built my LED Lighting System myself. It consist of 4 independent Meanwell LPC-5-700W Drivers each with 6 LED's (three Cree XP-G R5 Cool White LED's & three Cree XP-E Royal Blue LED's) for a total of 24 LED's with 40 degree reflectors.   5. Nitrate problem

    hey guys soo ive been doing weekly 5 gallon water changes on my 65 gallon tank and the nitrates have been slowly creeping up and now they are getting way to high at 20ppm tested today.

    I am planning on getting a biopellet reactor in december just a little short on cash right now.

    Can anyone give me any advice on how many gallons i should be changing on a weekly or monthly basis??
