New Additions

I went to the LFS to pick up some regular maintenance things and checked out the coral tank only to see a poor little Green Slimer coral. It arrived at the LFS not it to great of shape. The owner gave it to me at a large discount needless to say. Here is a pic of it...notice the brown on it...Right now I have it on the sand bed but plan to slowly move it up in my tank. I wanted to give it time to really acclimate to my tank. Any suggestions on making it more healthy?

As I was bike riding along Back Bay in Newport Beach, CA, I noticed thousands of cerith snails out on the mud flats. I haven't taken any readings to determine the salinity and temperature in which they are residing, but I would like to ask other addicts if it would be possible to acclimate some of the Newport Beach cerith snails into a tropical (79 - 80 degree) system. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I'm happy to report that after three weeks of planning, two phone calls and about 40 emails, my next tank - my dream tank - has been ordered. I'm going to walk around like this for the next six weeks.

Set up a new 75 gallon tank still a little algae left from when I started cycle over a month ago. I have been reading the posts on vodka dosing and I am deciding if I want to or not. I have no coral yet, just 2 cromis which are doing great, 6 crabs, 6 hermits, I think they are good, I only see 1 at a time and not very frequently, I have 5 turbo snails and 15 regular snails, and 2 bottles of tiggerpods they have all been in the tank for about 3 weeks. my concert is my first coral/s I leave ...
