All an Update on my Tank:

After much waiting and researching and more researching, I ordered my lights ( Aquatic Life 48" T-5 (4) and 8 Lunar Led's) all on a single Power Cord with an advanced timer for the whole she-bang! They arrived yesterday.

  3. MarineLand Tanks

    Hello,
I think Ive decided to go with a Marineland tank I got a quote from one of my LFS for a 90gal 48x18x24 and a 75gal 48x18x20. I still haven't decided on what one I'm going to get yet. I asked the guy if I could get starphire glass on the front and sides and that they didn't do that, Well I thought to myself Ive seen other people post that they had a Marineland tank with starphire I thought Melevs was that way as well, So I emailed them to see if it was still possible. (I hope so but ...

I have a 55 gallon tank, it's a fish only system for now because I haven't gotten up to the high end lighting that is required for a reef tank. Just wondering if anyone has tried this fairly new technology out yet. Here are some plans that I found:

I decided on ditching the LEDs, and swapping one D-D aquablue + for an ATI blue plus. According to the PAR levels by Grimreefers, this will actually take away about 2 - 5% PAR overall, but give a nice actinic look.

I tried the two daylights alone, and just couldn't force myself to like the aesthetics. A few of my mushrooms dissolved as well, so I ...
