    Major construction finished, I'm moving on to fit and finish. Next up is electrical. Last iteration of this tank had a power strip velcro'd to the inside of the stand and lighting on an analog timer. That was not going to fly for the revised version. I started by installing outdoor grade PVC conduit. I installed a double gang box for outlets and a single gang box for a switch that would control one of the two outlets.

  2. 125 gallon reef project

    hello fellow reef addicts, i though i would bring you up to speed on my current project.

    i purchased a 125g tank stand and hood used from a lfs i gave 350$ for it and its perfect no scratches and the back isn't tempered

    Ive been mad busy with work and all that nonsense but I thought I should keep my peeps up to date on my build.     so my tank has been chuggin along very nice! I got a new fixture a couple months ago, guy had a new in box outer orbit from current USA. came stock with 10k bulbs, first thing I did was swap factory t5 with ATI blu plus coral plus and Fiji purple. hqi bulbs where 10k and I was happy with growth but hated yellow color, so I bought some Phoenix 14k. upon installing the I thought they looked too blue. next day I wake up go to check everything and notice a ballast for

  5. Reeflo Snapper Disaster last night

    When here's my disaster story.

    Lost power last night to tank on dedicated GFI breaker.

    Found the sump over flowed because returned back siphoned and were not in top off tank like they should have been. Well I have a tray underneath the sump that drains by 3/4" uniseal and 3/4" PVC pipe to garage floor. Well that worked too so not big deal right? WRONG!
