  1. Scary flight.

    I think we almost died on this flight. It was the worst scare I've had on a plane ever. Landed a few minutes ago and have to catch a connecting flight in 1.5 hours.

    After a momentary freefall, the captain never addressed the passengers for the final 15 mins of our flight. My guess is some thing broke and the flight crew had their hands full for the rest of the flight.

    Even on the runway, he never came on the mic. Since the oxygen masks didn't fall, I guess it wasn't ...

  2. Redoing Plumbing

    I am redoing the plumbing on my tank, I am wondering after glueing the PVC doI need to do anything special? Will the live stock be ok with the glue? How long should I want until I start running water through the PVC again? Thanks for the help!

  3. Pistol Shrimp

    Exactly 1 week ago I added a new clean-up crew to my tank. As part of the same order I got a little 1/2" long Randals pistol shrimp in the hopes that he'd pair up with my yellow head antenna goby. Well, I haven't seen him all week, till last night! There he was out in the open grabbing food, with one antenna on the goby

  5. question on sps coral shapes

    I am building out my SPS dominated reef. My question is when most people refer to a colony, are they just refering to an sps piece fully grown out?

    The second part of that is do all frags grow into colonies? For example i have a nice birds nest that is the exact shape as a half circle and 5 inches in diameter - i assume this is a colony. My staghorn acrapora is nice, but it grows up and sprouts a few branches - but does not look like it will ever become that half circle colony, it ...
