  1. Midnight"s 300g In wall progress

    Got a few things done today

    Painting the walk board and the board that will go under the tank.



    I also cut a giant hole in the living room wall



    Tomorrow the guys are coming over to put the tank on the stand.

  3. Good News, they tank is on the way!

    Hope you are excited as I am.

    After all the changes, delays, and head scratching the tank should be delivered tomorrow afternoon. I will try to take pictures of what I can. The home for the tank is not finished being prepped, as I was expecting more lead time on knowing the tank's arrival. That said I will have a busy week getting the wall opening and stand leveling properly prepared.

    Does anyone know of a store that would carry composite shims? I guess I could ...

  4. 350 Reef build

    So work on my new (used) to me acrylic tank. But i thought i would show where I plan to put the tank. Let me know what you think.

    Basically the pool table will go and be replaced by the tank. It will be viewable on all four sides. I have to figure out how to run power to the tank im thinking about running down from the ceiling or running conduit across the floor to the stand. There is ...
  5. Some conclusions and pictures

    Got some time to post, will continue my thought process from the last blog post.

    I concluded a few things from my experience in these 2.5 years:
    1. I should underfeed my fish. First because I probably have a tendency to overfeed, second because they don't get easy food in the wild. Come on, "real" fish have a hard life! They swim a lot, compete a lot for food and don't get that much prey every day.
    2. I should finger feed my fish. A tank as small as mine (DT=180L/48G) doesn't
