Snakebyts 40 breeder

Hello All, Im Terry but better known as Snakebyt. I have been in the hobby off and on over the last 10 years or so. I took a couple years off and am just getting back into it. I knew i wanted another tank, and started visiting sites on a regualr basis and came across Marcs thread that i used to follow and it got me hooked again. I dont have the room, or the budget for a larger tank like i used to have so i decided on a 40 breeder, i love the footprint of the tank.
Here are some stats about the tank
40 Breeder
30 gallon sump
4x54w T5 running 2x blue+, 1 aquablue special, and 1 aquasun
ASM G3 skimmer, i think it might be overkill, but i got a good deal on it

Please excuse the pics as i am no photographer, I know i have mostly frags, but the tank is only about 4-5 months old

I had a friend drill it for me and decided to do a modified coast to coast. Another friend made the overflow box for me

here is the over flow plumbing, the downturned elbow if the main overflow and the upturned one is the emergency drain. Doing it this way allows for a complete siphon and it is silent, and ZERO bubbles down in the sump.

This is a little older FTS, i have moved a few things and added some things since then.

here are some coral pics

I got this mushroom from a friends tank and it was completly transparent, by the next morning it had almost full color back in it and in the last month is has doubled in size

some other neat mushrooms

more zoas

Another shroom

I think the tank is starting to settle in and i can see some good growth in some stuff. Ill try to get some updated pics of the tank in the near future

It's nice to see your tank finally. I don't think I ever came across your thread on RC. Look at all those Mean Greens.

The silent siphon seems like a nice solution, thanks for sharing that with us.

thanks Marc, they arent near as nice as yours. I am lovin the solid siphon idea, working out really well, no salt creep in the sump area

I like the colors, my tank is missing color. Everything is like pale pink.

Hello, I love the way you set the liverock in your tank! Your selection of colorful corals are beautiful. Your tanks really going to be awesome when all the frags grow. Do you have more pics? (newer ones)
