Ordering goodies

I ordered the rolling kit for the new light rack from McMaster yesterday. www.mcmaster.com - Part # 1223A22

Then I ordered all the parts from www.EzTube.com to make the light rack itself. Wes was kind enough to make me a break out image of the order. It should ship out tomorrow and arrive next week.

I'm going to order some acrylic rod with my next acrylic order to create some supports for the rockwork. That way if something digs under my aquascaping, it won't shift or collapse. The rod wasn't too pricey - 6' of 3/4" diameter rod is $7.25 and 1/2" costs $5.25 I'll cut them down and glue them into an acrylic base hidden in the sand from view.

How are the prices on the EZ tube stuff, if you don't mind. Their online catalog doesn't seem to work

    I paid $192 shipped:

    Part# 100-304-C: 12 each) 3-way composite Tee connectors @$4 = $48
    Part# 100-300-C: 4 each) 2-way composite Elbow connectors @$3.75 = $15
Part# 100-130-8: 3 each) aluminum 98" long, single fin (this holds the Lumenbright pendants in place) @$18.75 = $56.25
    Part# 100-102-8: 2 each) black powder coated steel 8' tubes @ $23.40 = $46.80 Part# 100-102-8
    Shipping $26.42

I'll have to cut these and will use my compound miter saw with a carbide tipped blade to do so.

I ordered and received the acrylic rod I'm going to use to support my rockwork. I ordered a few 6' sticks of 3/4" and 1/2" diameter acrylic rod. The plan is to create a hidden support system within the sandbed so the rockwork can't shift accidentally due to flow or burrowing.

The rolling rack from McMaster showed up today. I'm going to affix it to the ceiling tonight.

Do you get acrylic locally or on the internet? If on the internet, where? Thanks

I get my acrylic locally. Living in bigger cities, we have better options. The DFW area has at least 4 acrylic suppliers.
