Thanks ! Reef keeping is a big learning curve. In the beginning I would read reef forums 24/7. Like Melev's Reef, Reef 'Something' ... LOL, learning all I could. Also listening to podcasts like reefcast, the talking reef and now Reef Addicts ! Four and half years later, this is still a challenge.

Awesome growth among your acropora sp. The monti's too. Congrats! What lighting are you using? And, are you dosing two-part? Great job!

Wow. That Oct 2010 re-aquascape was amazing! The new rockwork looks great! Your tank is gorgeous. :-)

Very cool! It is great that you have FTS's with the exact same setup/framing.

How do you get such quick growth, what do you think are the key elements behind it in what you do?

Thanks ! My current lighting is two 250w MH's with XM 20K bulbs, running on Galaxy selectable balasts. I am currently dose 2-part solution from bulk reef supply.

    Thanks Heathd, matt and snorkeler.

@ snorkeler, Growth comes from lots of light (@700 watts in a 65 gallon), lots of flow (mp40 & mp10) and a larger than required skimmer. Plus weekly 10% water changes.

Hey Agsansoo, as always ya tank is beautiful!! Is that a bi-color angel fish?

Am I correct that the MP10 is on the very bottom left behind the rockwork? That's a lot of flow!!! :-)

Yes. The mp10 is at the back on the bottom, the mp40 is on the top right side. Both are set on reefcrest mode at 100%. You need lots of flow in a bare bottom tank.

He doesn't mess with the corals? I seen one at the lfs and wanted it till I found out it was an angel.

No, not at all. Maybe one day he'll wake-up and eat them all ... LOL

Love this update, Agsansoo. It's nice to see how a tank & your perspective evolved over time. This hobby can be frustrating and it can be enjoyable... a true love/hate relationship at times. With my 280g, there were plenty of hate moments for me, and then occasionally I'd be on top of the world feeling so great about it. This tank has been through similar moods, I'm thinking.

I edited in the matching category for your blog entry.
