138 Rimless Reef LED Powered Progression---ZEOvit based system

Rate this Entry
So ive finally got around to posting the progress build of my new 138 gallon sps system run off of the ZEOvit method. In short the tank is 3 sided 1/2" starphire glass measuring 42.5x30.5x24 tall. Tank drains into a custom Melev's Reef sump measuring 36x24x16 with two main chambers. First chamber is for drains and houses a Super Reef Octopus Internal 2000 series cone skimmer, then flows through a bubble trap into the return chamber which houses the ZEOvit reactor, activated carbon and return pump. Inside the tank reside two MP-40's controlled via Neptune Apex, which also monitors the rest of the system. And finally the best part.....the system is lit using 4 Aqua Illumination Sol Blue fixtures!!!! Ive included some start up photos as well as some growth progression pics. Additional growth pics will come approx every 30-40 days to document the true power of an SPS dominated tank running solely on LED's......Following pics document the tanks inception dated July 23, 2001 until pics taken on Oct 24........ ENJOY!!!!!!!

Nice setup. I just looked up those lights you have and they are very cool! Have you set yours to do the thunderstorm mode? I saw a YouTube Video of that.
