Hey can someone help me decide on a bio-pellet reactor i want one that is high quality and i also want one that is low price i have a 75 gallon tank with a refugium and i have cheato caulerpa and gracillera in it and there's a lot and my nitrates are still over 20 i dont feed to much and i got about 5 little fish so any advice would be helpful thanks guys

    The definition of "low price" is relative, but I like the NextReef SMR1 as a biopellet reactor. The short version, which should be fine for your size setup is $110 on MarineDepot.com .

    I chose the NextReef SMR1 as well. I have their shorty reactor on my 29g and it's an amazing little reactor. Very well made.

    I have not been pruning yet but it is probably time... the chaeto is growing like a weed. Two questions though... will that help with the nitrates? How exactly am I to prune the algae? Not to over complicate it but I just dont want to do anything detrimental to the chaeto either.

    Hey Mouse! Sorry that I missed your reply comment to me, I have an eye problem. You can "pull apart" or cut the algae, whatever works best for you. It won't hurt, only help! I got my NextReef reactor from marinedepot.com but you can goggle and get more sites.
