Actinic pictures from the Frag Tank

Rate this Entry
When my tanks are being blasted with blue, I do enjoy seeing the corals fluoresce. I tried to get a few pictures of the frags that are growing into little colonies as they wait for their bigger home. Super blue, filtered back with Photoshop.

This acan colony was almost completely destroyed by pest anemones, but I saw some life and moved it into the frag tank. Look at the size of that one polyp. There's more DNA popping out nearby as well as behind it, so I have about four polyps at this point.

I'm so looking foward to gluing these to a bigger rock and let them blanket the area.

The Lobophyllia needs more room. It displays more orange and yellow to the eye.

This Sunset Montipora is polyped out and colorful. I have more in my reef, but the polyps are extended. Odds are a fish or two may be the reason for that, since all the water is shared and thus the same conditions.

I like this mixed collection of zoanthids. To the right, you can see the Orange Blog DNA is growing. It too need a big reef tank.

No, but I took it under full blue LEDs and tried to adjust the colors back some. I never use saturation. You're another one that asked about the duncans, so I'll get a new picture of it under better light conditions. It's very pretty.
