Day 66 - I see polyps

Rate this Entry
Continuing from yesterday's blog, I spent some time trying to capture some polyps on film - so to speak. An SD card, to be precise.

Getting the skin of the acropora to show up has always been a wish of mine.

It's a work in progress, but I'm off to a start. I'll have to try more images with all the pumps off. Some of the corals need to grow in more, so I have a better canvas to photograph. The subject needs to be shot straight on, and most of my corals are at various angles that make it tough currently.

Super-macros is an Acan polyp (or two), and super-macros-3 is a chalice coral.

Who ever decides to write a detailed book on corals should hire you as the photographer. Great pics.

Thank you, but I need to keep working on this for a while. I'm very critical of my photography and often don't like what I'm importing at first. After I spend some time cleaning the images up, I begin to like them better.
