42 gallon Hex build

The first photo is of the parts to the bottom outer frame. The second photo is the parts for the top outer frame. The third photo is the top side of the bottom outer frame assembled. The forth photo is of the bottom of the bottom outer frame assembled. The bottom outer frame is attached to the base of the inner frame with 12 pocket hole screws. There was a strip of 1x2 added in the back after the photo was taken to allow the electrical boxes to be screwed to the bottom frame inside the back cabinet. The fifth photo is of the bottom of the top outer frame assembled. The sixth photo is of the top of the top outer frame assembled. The top of the top outer frame has a track for the placement of a back cover on the tank. Remember I cannot have anything showing in back of the tank.

This is the first time I have tried to do anything like this type of woodwork. My profession is in electronics repair. Since I have done this it looks like I owe my wife a set of kitchen cabinets. So far she likes what she has seen of this project. I guess I know what my next woodworking project will be.
