Acans turning white?

Ive had the 3 species of acans in my tank for about two months now and I am noticing them turning white on the tops? I run all LEDs and they are in the sand bed but one that I had mid level in my structure has also gone white. These acans are all reproducing very quickly one of which has grown 6 heads from the original 3 that I had a month ago. My levels are all perfect Nitrate and Nitrite 0 Phosphates 0 pH 8.4 calcium 450-500 and Alkalinity 9. All of my other corals are doing very well and I have changed nothing in the tank besides putting the new mp40 that I got for $70 yesterday. But their turning white was long before this new addition. SO WHATS GOING ON

    Are you feeding them after lights out? How long are they being lit by your lights? Let's see a picture.

    8 hours for blues and whites then 3 hours after with just blues. And I feed after lights off every once in a while and i wish i could take a picture!

    well the real question here is how the hell did you get a mp40 for 70 bucks...and can you get me one

    obviously it would help if you posted a pic....but the only time ive seen white acans is at the lfs after fragging and after they bleached them...this is strange. most acans including mine are sensative to salinity and Mag have you kept it stable? whats your level?

    dont know my mag but will be raising it soon after test kit purchase and I keep my salt at 1.025 and ya the mp40 wasnt bad i got my mp10s for like $14 a piece brand new in the box but the Mp40 had been used for 5 days then the tank got shut down and i traded a koralia 4 a koralia 3 and one of the mp10s I got for the Mp40. oh and BTW the koralias are both 8 years old

    hey @melev at MACNA apparently they are gunna have a fedex booth there to ship everything home but are the frag swaps going to be all 3 days? or will they just be on saturday- sunday when every one is going to leave. Cuz one way is i either have to buy my stuff and set up a make-shift coral tank in my room for three days, or ship out all three days OR if its just on sunday get what I want and catch my flight

    This isn't a Frag Swap. MACNA has coral vendors. If you purchase on Friday, they will keep the coral in their tank until Sunday afternoon.

    No shipping company ships on Sunday, ever. So if you fly home Sunday, anything left with Fedex wouldn't even begin to ship until Monday afternoon. IOW, it's not an option.

    So they will have the coral there in show tanks. I will buy them and they hold on to them until the end of the event on Sunday. And I would take them on the plane bug Idk If that is allowed
