A late night perspective

With the room under construction, I'm enjoying this moonlit look of the fishroom. There's a quiet haunting feel to it, and it needed sharing.

What will you be doing in the attic space?

First of all, great shot. Second, it does indeed say something like, I wonder why Marc has a guy shackled in his house?

    So, thinking about Solatubes now?

Looks like all you need is a skylight... Maybe intended purposes would be limited to giving your tank mates some "real" lunar lighting effects...

But what do I know, I'm just a good ole' redneck...

Meh, I never found that I needed any additional lighting in my tank room. When you consider tank lights, frag tank lights, refugium, etc, etc, There is plenty of light to be had when your walking in to do some work.

What? Your tank room is like a tanning bed!

I think what we are all referring to is some natural light for the reef. And no one is worried about the shadow from Marc's captive?

It would be kinda neat to create a skylight effect that hit the morning side of the reef tank, but I don't think I'll break the seal at this point.

Quit pointing out the dark stranger, Jonathan. What people don't know won't hurt them.

K...I am surprised you don't have a line of Christians wanting to see that.

I found another truss hanging low in the center (over where the tank will be) so I'm going to scab on a board on the side and secure it to a rafter above, once it is hoisted to the correct position.

All the nails and screws have been stripped away so it is ready for new sheetrock, once the lumber repairs are done.

hmm, I couldn't find the shackled guy

I didn't see it either, but look at the shadow cast across the back wall. His head is hanging downward on the left, his arms pulled up behind him toward the rafter he's shackled to.

I think I see a silhouette of Jimmy Hoffa? Great picture! I have a feeling you could put together quite a story board of 8x10's upon the conclusion of this project... Tell the future Grand Kids, "Once upon a time under the Harvest Moon, Grandpa decided to cut the house in half" ..... When I drilled the first of four plumbing holes in my living room floor to my bonus/fish-room below, my family gave me that "quizicle look" and I gave them the "Close Encounters of the third kind building volcano's in their living room and don't know exactly why, but I have a plan look" ..... No Pain, No Gain ....

It says to me you may need a priest before the build is done.

I like it. Seems peaceful. Just sit down there and drink a cold one in peace. :0) I also like the smell of new wood under construction.

Word. Once you've had a stroke and survived, you see these things right away, and yet miss the obvious.
