Eheim, Eheim, Eheim. Worth every nickel.

I found it at Petsmart, it's $50 and is a battery powered auto feeder. When Spock pulled it into the tank a couple of months ago, I retrieved it instantly and dried it out for two days and it continues to work perfectly.

I did a blog about the sink and repair here: http://www.reefaddicts.com/entry.php...link-of-an-eye

I am considering the SuperFeeder. It runs off a wall outlet so could be plugged into my Apex

I did a search for that, and found a site but they seem to be more expensive considering you'll have another power cord to run down to the Power Bar.

The Eheim can be run up to four times a day, and it can even do a double dump one minute apart if necessary. Mine runs once at 12:30pm. And does the double drop at 6:30 and 6:31pm.

Yea they are $80 but I like the idea of the power cord because it would be my luck that the batteries would die the first day I went on a trip and then all my fish would die! Like I said its just something im considering...another option! here is the site if you are interested.

Yeah, I saw that site. The Eheim has a test button, and batteries last a long time. If you had any concerns, change the batteries before a trip out of town. Mine have easily lasted six months per set of AAs.

I concur with Marc I to have an Eheim (strongly on Marcs posts on it) and I love it. I have had it for about a month now and my fish are definitely getting a little fatter. Mine feeds two meals a day and I feed a cube of frozen once a day.

Aaron, there's no model number on the feeder itself, and I didn't find the box easily in my pile of gear to get that number. As far as I know, Petsmart only sells the one type from Eheim.

I looked at Petsmart here in San Angelo and they are $40. There were two models and only the one Marc is talking about by Eheim. Got one for my tank.

I got mine in the mail a couple days ago. Seems like a nice unit. Set up in a couple of minutes and no problems so far. I did have to mod the plastic clamp to fit on the side of my 180. Not a big deal.
