Thank you very much for the information and thank for your past post regarding GE II and not to use it. I was just 12 hours away from putting that sump online.
    Again Thank You

My new light!!

by pepper'scove on 03-27-2012 at 10:20 AM
Hey guys, just checking in to show the progress I've made. Over the past week I had a 90 gallon tank and stand listed on Craigslist. I didn't know how fast it would go, but I listed it on the high side of what I found in my area. By Thursday of last week the tank (shown below) sold!!

Also listed on Craigslist was an AquaticLife 48in. 6x54W T5 light. By the end of Friday I had the light back to my house and running above the tank. Here's

FREE 90 Gal. Tank!!!

by pepper'scove on 03-17-2012 at 11:22 PM
Hey guys, made you look. Actually, not a complete joke. Tomorrow morning I'm going up to my aunt and uncle's to get their old saltwater tank. I don't know much about it other than that it's a 90 gallon tank. They're giving me all their old equipment as well so the plan is that I'm going to take it all and then sell what I can't use myself. However, I'm sticking to my 75 gallon tank since I don't really like how tall the 90s are. Anyway, keeping my fingers crossed for a good, reef capable light

by pepper'scove on 03-09-2012 at 05:20 PM
So, I'm beginning this blog entry before I upload my pictures. A few days ago I wrote up a blog entry showing a picture that made me think my tank had microbubbles in it. To date it appears better to me, but for comparison's sake I took a few pictures of the tank last night. In one picture the scenario is comparable to the scenario under which the picture from my other post was taken. In the other I have turned off the protein skimmer and then actually shut off the return (for those unfamiliar

Microbubbles in main tank...?

by pepper'scove on 03-06-2012 at 12:00 AM
So I believe I have microbubbles getting into the main tank. I was looking at the water in my skimmer section today and noticed that it had a decent amount of froth on the water's surface (nothing spectacular just some definite buildup of frothy sections). Then I got looking at the skimmer section and noticed a ton of microbubbles, no surprise yet. Then I took a look at my bubble traps. Bubbles were going down the hatch at an alarming rate. Then I looked at the bioball section thinking that

Water Testing!

by pepper'scove on 03-04-2012 at 12:24 PM
Hey guys,

As promised in my most recent post, I am posting some videos of the water test I did today. I have to go to a meeting in a few minutes and my YouTube videos are uploading as we speak so I will add the very first one for now. In all there are four parts about 3 minutes long per piece. The video is a bit more blurry than I would have liked and my amature status as a videographer is clearly on display, but I want to show all of you what I've been up to. Additionally, throughout
