Tank Entry

Just thought i'd do a small update and put some pics up of what I've been doing. I still have to do the electrical for the lighting; thats what is on top of canopy. How would y'all do it? I have two ballast, one power strip and three timers. Would you mount on back of canopy or in stand. I don't have quick connects. Woke up this morning to a spitting noise coming from downstairs. I know what it was, water level low, again! I could see bare glass also. A powerhead fell and was blowing in the sand. One of my Acro frags was now sitting on the glass. I had to fix that problem. Since the upgrade and now the use of a sump, I've been having to add water every two days. I believe I'm going to raise the water line today because we are going to Dallas for the weekend. I can raise the water line in the sump four inches ...

I was going to do one big update but decided to break it up. This part is about my canopy. The system I got was a few years old and was really a fixer upper.

Son-in-law Tim helping me! They had some bad wood on canopy, looked like it wasn't seal to great! He took off all bad wood.



He replaced with all new wood. Notice I taped off the VHO caps to get ready for sealing and painting.

I had a lot of pics for y'all but wanted to delete a few I uploaded and when I click backspace it took me out of EVERYTHING I had already done. ;-/ So, his a simply update! Yesterday I hung my T-5's I had on my other tank in my stand and ran all the electrical except the lights, they still need to be done and mounted all the way on the canopy back. Canopy is half painted because its to heavy for just me to take off and no one has been over to help me take it off. New T-5's been hung in rear of canopy. ...

I decided to put the new tank where I the old tank was. So, the old tank had to move. What I did was put everything in a rubbermaid with two powerheads. I put the frags in a tupperware container. Corals on top! My T5's on top. Shrimps, crabs and snails on top of that. New stand is in place, all equipment is cleaned and wifes going to clean and paint tonight or tomorrow. Here is pictures:
