  1. ID please ?

    Picked up a few Acropora SPS corals and want to know more about identification? Does anyone recognize and/or know the Id ? Perhaps origin waters? Seller didn't have this information.

  2. West Coast Coral source minus one

    I used to drop in to ReefHotSpot a few miles from LAX to pickup a coral or two. Noticed their website said, under construction. Well, I took a drive and found that "under construction" meant LITERALLY .... Empty warehouse all tanks gone, building for rent. Spoke to a guy inside and he said his buddy bought the biz.   3. Phosphate not good.... It's WAR !!!

    The good news, got a new toy The Hanna Phosphate checker... The bad news, phosphates are .23 No wonder things don't seem to grow fast in my reef tank ... I admit that I don't vacume the sand bed with every water change. Tank is 4+ years old. So, I want to ATTACK this problem with vigor or vulgar or vodka When I gently rack my sand bed, it's big clouds, I'm in detritus hell ...   5. Refugium critter effect on display tank?

    Those with experience having in-line refugium, please offer your thoughts. I have a refugium with miracle mud base plus few inches sand bed on top of that. Been running for three years. Content mainly consists of cheato macro algae,small pods, and quite a few of bristle worms... I've seen a you tube video of a cleanup crew farmer saying, small bristle worms of the kind in my refugium are good, just not a certain large type worm (forgot the name, 8+ inches long ... That's great.
