What type of clowns do you have? Are they Maroons? I cant imagine any other type of clown being that nutty.
Sorry to hear about your 6-lined wrasse and the overly aggressive clown, but keep your head up Caviar, I'm sure you'll be having one of those 3 step forward and I can't wait to tell everyone what I saw today, days .......... soon.
Hey Cavier, unfortunately in this hobby things like this happen. I read ya other post about this too. Don't let it get ya down. There are way more good times then bad ones in the hobby, that's for sure. :-) I recently had two Chromis' fighting all the time and one would always hide. It's scary because the one hiding wouldn't get any food because of the other. They both get along now, lucky for me. When I first got into this hobby many years ago I had a LTA and he ate a few of my fish. I brought his butt back to the LFS. Not saying that's what you should do though. That worked for me. In this hobby you learn as you go. You learn what livestock works for you. What makes you happy. Your clowns may be buddies again today, ya just never know. :-) HAT
Ignore it altogether :/ Actually, they've ignored my BTA AND my LTA. And now theyre fighting, to the point where one is losing color and cowering in a corner. This week has been rough for my tank. I bought a six-lined wrasse, and my LTA captured and ate him within 4 hours. Im now going to have to give away one of my clowns to prevent another casualty. FML.

I have never had a legitimate issue with a bristle worm. All of the ones I have ever had have basically chowed down on left over food. I think most people prefer to trap and remove the very large ones, just for good measure.
As everyone else has said, bristle worms can be great for the tank, just not for your finger. Someone needs to write a worm guide since they're one of the most misunderstood reef animals.
Definitely a bristle worm, red and white in color. Cool little critters, I've counted two of them so far Thanks guys!
If its your standard bristle worm, its not really an issue unless you just dont like them. They shouldnt over tank your tank unless you have a nutrient issue, like being a heavy handed feeder.
I'll second Jessy, they're great little dentrivors and almost all species are benificial.

Actually Nightshade that is typically not the kind of bristleworm found in our aquariums. We have this skinny red kind, and these are totally ok. They are a pain in the finger if you touch them, but they serve a purpose as part of the clean up crew. As in anything, you hope to not have the population get out of control. But a couple dozen aren't going to hurt anything, except a finger if you touch them.

Thank Hat And I cycled already, using damsels (yes, Im aware thats frowned upon, but I assure your their doing fine in my buddies tank now). serpent starfish? I'll have to look that up!
Hey Caviar, welcome to Reef Addicts! Also check out www.Melevsreef.com One of my 1st tanks were a 30 gallon. I believe that is a very nice viewable tank. That creature in your tank sounds like a serpent starfish. I have a few in my tank that live in the live rock that are white with the black bands on them. One advice I can give you is go slow with the tank. When you first start off the tank will cycle. Read up and reserch and you will do fine! Good luck, HAT
