Everyone has been asking me about the newly repaired tank, if it has been set up, when am I going to reveal the latest aquascaping, etc. The tank is empty, just as it arrived.

After waiting patiently for months for the rebuilt tank to arrive, I was very excited when I got notification that it was going to deliver soon. I'd already lined up a bunch of helpers to bring it inside, and the crate arrived on schedule in perfect condition. Saturday morning, before all the lifters arrived, ...

Lately, I've really thought my reef needs a beautiful eel. Something I can trust to be a nice reef-safe addition that won't devour my other reeflings. What's a good candidate? I do have a couple of options as to the habitat. It could live in the 400g with everything, or I could put it in the 60g with the anemones and clownfish. I find them to be so interesting and beautiful, but have never felt I could trust it to leave small fish and shrimps alone. What's the real verdict?

Last weekend, I attended San Diego's Comic Con (Thursday to Sunday). I had a great time, and during my time away, a friend watched the reef to make sure all was well. There was a power outage on Friday night, and the Apex notified me via text and email, but never informed me if power was restored. I didn't really feel comfortable contacting my friend at 2 a.m. his time, so I wrote him the next morning to let him know and have him give me an update. He stopped by and reported all was fine.
