I'm very pleased with how the Sybon Reef Formula salt mixes up, so here's my preliminary findings. I filled up a 55g barrel with RO/DI water and added my normal amount of salt to get 1.026 sg, and after it mixed for 30 hours, I did the full gamut of water tests:

    Temperature: 76F
    pH: 8.39
    Alkalinity: 8 - 8.5 dKH
    Calcium: 425 ppm
    Magnesium: 1450 ppm
    Nitrate: 0
    Phosphate: 0

It mixes up crystal clear with no salt at the bottom of the barrel and no residue on the walls. I'll be putting up a full review on RA very soon. In the meantime, here's a link to where you can buy it on PremiumAquatics.com: http://premiumaquatics.com/store/mer...SALT-SYR-50-PK

Oh that Blows Marc. That is pretty cool idea really , Puts it right back in the water coloum ? Well if it does not work you always use it the toilet bowl for cleaning.

I hear ya, better to get a factory fix first.

Yes, before modding it I thought I'd let them address the situation. I provided them with images and measurements to make sure it all fit.

What is the bracket attached to the orange squeegee made out of? If they wont send you a new one i wouldnt think it would take much to trim a 1/4 inch off of the end so its not hitting the other side of the cup and to cut off an inch or so on the bottom and drill a new set of holes to secure the squeegee.

Again this would be a last resort if they cant send you a new one.

It says to me you may need a priest before the build is done.

Blown in insulation is quite common now days and 18" is about equivelant to an R-30 bat. Two bundle of new R-30 should be about all you need to redo the ceiling. You can broom the insulation aside and respread it but it'll be a nasty job. either way, I'm sure it'll turn out real nice for a tank room. It is a utilty room afterall, there won't (shouldn't) be a TV and recliner itn it.

Oh, BTW. I personally wouldnt use green board in there. A nice primer and two coats of a quality satin paint along with a nice quiet 110+ CFM bath fan should be all of the protection you need for the life of those walls. At a minimum hold the sheetrock an inch off the concrete so your spills dont directly contact it, or some PVC base trim siliconed to the floor. I can take a garden hose to rinse out my tank room when needed.

Nice to see you on the board here Jonathan.
Inexpensive vct tile would work seal it wax it forget it.. i would work for free :P only did flor work for 6 years lol.. so glue vinly wall base would look like a horsepistol hall muhahah

It never fails you start one project which leads to this and that and before you know it 1/3 of the house is redone. Doing a fine job the new and improved fish room will rock.

I think I see a silhouette of Jimmy Hoffa? Great picture! I have a feeling you could put together quite a story board of 8x10's upon the conclusion of this project... Tell the future Grand Kids, "Once upon a time under the Harvest Moon, Grandpa decided to cut the house in half" ..... When I drilled the first of four plumbing holes in my living room floor to my bonus/fish-room below, my family gave me that "quizicle look" and I gave them the "Close Encounters of the third kind building volcano's in their living room and don't know exactly why, but I have a plan look" ..... No Pain, No Gain ....

I didn't see it either, but look at the shadow cast across the back wall. His head is hanging downward on the left, his arms pulled up behind him toward the rafter he's shackled to.
