Shows how complicated and huge ya system was. When I took down my tank I had everything in one rubbermaid with two powerheads, a heater and a light on top. hahahahahaha In fact my wife wanted me to hurry up and ger it done. You lucky you're not married at this moment. :-)

The good news is that I think I have a little more time before the tank arrives. The glass hasn't shown up at Marineland yet, and won't for two weeks.

The bad news is my livingroom is gonna be full for at least two extra weeks. I may go insane.

WOW Marc! You sure you don't want to start a frag business out of ya home? You are already set up and ready to go. At least everything is out of the way and you now can move forward with the build. ;-)

Wow. . . I can imagine the work it took to get that thing moved and then get the plumbing going again. You might need the bottle of vodka for yourself tonight, lol. btw how is your back doing? Hopefully not overdoing things. Wish I was closer to help you out man.

The sump is officially in the livingroom and I'm completely exhausted. My son took a bunch of pictures, and I'll try to get some posted tomorrow. The fishroom is almost completely empty. The angled tank is empty. The LR is tied into the entire setup finally. I'm off to take a pain pill. Nite!

No doubt. Most didn't care about the livestock, it was all about living decorations. My tank was very pretty (man do I miss it after today's efforts!), and I can think of three others I love. One is gone (Steve Weast); I don't know what the status is of Joseph Weatherson's 240g; and I loved that one in Boston that is in the planted Atrium owned by Reefkeeper2. I'm sure there are dozens more.

No Carl, no way I spent that much. Well, it's been 6 years... $33,333 per year, or $2,778 per month.... No, thank god. I think I probably spent $21,600 from the day it was running, which is $300 per month. That may be high or low, I don't know, but it feels about right. Bulbs, food, salt, new livestock, products to fix water quality, new ballasts, new pendants, new pumps, more sand, electricity ($100 a month average) - $300 sounds pretty darn close.

I got my hands wet a lot, and learned tons as I worked on it. If these people paying $100,000 to $200,000 for their systems know they could have had one like mine for about $30,000 I bet they would have passed.

I agree, with Reefski, not only Marc's but there are others as well that are way more impressive. Those people who are featured in the article could care less about the fish, they just want to wow their friends.

Marc- your tank was much more beautiful than any of those and didn't cost $200,000 did it?

I wish they had been more in depth about the tanks.

Yes, that would make a great article if you knew how to find these rich people with their stunning tanks.

makes me a wee bit mad that a designer site took the topic and not a reefer site. I hope the fish store has the knowledge.

Ouch sorry to hear that Marc. My wife is actually having some problems with her neck and back. She has a couple problems with either slipped or bulged discs ( can't remember exactly which one) and degenerative disc disorder. They are going to do a nerve test and they are going to try therapy for now. Then if that doesn't help she will start looking at an injection for pain relief, and after that surgery.

Anyway take it easy for a day or two afterwards so you can get full relief and be careful not to cause any more problems.
