Looking great Marc. I almost lost a huge colony of superman monti because it grew over a divot in the rockwork. What happened was the water and organisms trapped inside went south, and the coral STN'd from the underside center. I had to do major surgery to save the colony. If the Cyphastrea has grown over a cavity, I would do some drilling to allow water to flow in and out of the shells.

Correct, Maroun. It's simply saltwater, circulation & heat plus the medication for 12 hours. I decided not to dip them in anything after the bath since they'd already been through an ordeal for 24 hours and didn't want to push them over the edge.

I added some Oyster Feast from Reef Nutition to the quarantine system so they'd have the opportunity to ingest some food.

So far, all eight look open and normal.

    Wow very nice addidions.
Always a nice feeling to pick up a dry bag, can't describe how it feels to pick up your bag and water is draining out of it !!! best receipe for an angry wife at least.
How long do you keep the clams with interceptor and does it bother them? I'm adduming you keep them without any filtration for the treatment time?

It sure is nice to see clams in my reef again. I had one in the 100g vat waiting for the new reef to be started up, and it died mere weeks before the 400g was running. I'd had it for about a year.

This is great. Maybe there can be a "tips" section at DFWMACNA site for bringing home corals. Beautiful clams!

I am glad that you got the livestock home safely. I was wondering how you were going to take the frags home safety on a plane. Now I know.

At the same swap I picked up a clam that looks just like your dark little one in addition to a frag of lemon yellow zoanthid. My clam and zoa are looking great, too. Harry, who sold you the frags of anacropora, took home and baby sat my livestock for me until I got home. Great to have a good reefer as a friend .

Very nice clams Marc! When ya bringing me mine? ;-p I'm glad they made it alright.

First of all, they look beautiful. Second, man what a risky deal. At least 3 acclimations on the way to your tank. But based on how they look, I might have done the same. In the end, that is much better than boxing them up for UPS or FedEx. (BTW, you need a smiley!)
