Hey Marc, could I see your pH graph? I would like to see how my pH swing compares to yours as our temps are very similar. The tank looks just as great as always. My wife is finally going back to work after having two kids, so I am hoping this means more fundage for my system.

Wow, one can see from the video that your tank is in great shape... and you're not You could also add a DIY stand to the walkboard's end to work on that, like http://www.google.com/imgres?q=ab+bo...y4aXFCQ&zoom=1 I'm sure Jessy would love to help you build that as one of her 53 paybacks Looking fwd to hear abt it in the next podcast Jessy!
very cool beats the chair I use
Great idea. So this is how you keep the glass so clean.
The reef set up is around 3200lbs... not worried about me and an extra helper whatsoever.
well done what a great idea and a big help.I must admit my pulse raced a bit when you climbed on. I know with all the weight of the tank your 175 pounds on the edge would never hurt the tank yet i was a little nervous. Thanks for sharing
SaaWwwweeeettt. When I build my house I'm gonna need ur help with that!
I'm so putting one of those on my 10g........... ;-)
Yeah, very nice job.
Very nice and great planning ahead! Umm ya tank is awesome too!
+1 on the photos !
Ok Marc... you simply can't keep us hanging much longer! Need pics... and just speaking for myself... I would love to see some recent pics of the fishroom layout and what's going on there.
I've read that over time a single dominate bacteria is one of the factors that creates old tank syndrome. Even if this isn't the case I don't see how adding new colonies could hurt.
I don't test it, I report it from the AC3's digital results. I do watch that number to check on the status of the tank. It was a little bit low this week, but I'd done a small water change which affects that number.
Marc, since you dont do Ozone, why do you test ORP?
I had a recent issue with water out of my RODI coming out with .5ppm ammonia. Something we really need to keep an eye on...
That's an interesting idea. I'll have to ponder that a bit. I have always leaned away from any bacterial additives just as a knee-jerk reaction to the "business" of aquariums, but the biodiversity issue is indeed something to consider.
Good stuff. This is VERY common! Everyone that I have coached on water quality and other tank issues gets a lecture about starting at the wall. Some listen, some don't. And public utiliies LIE about what's in the water all the time. You cannot trust their reports. And as you stated, this issue can be seasonal. I tested my source water twice a month and plotted radical changes in "polutants". Many aquarium salts can have ammonia in them too. Hobbyists assume that what they are buying off the shelf is safe...
