Caluerpa Prolifera is legal in california. And I know how to properly dispose of it if necessary so I'm not going to have any environmental issues.

Thanks for all the kind words people I used an acrylic plate, rod, and drilled my rocks to get them in this aquascape.

I really like the over hangs in your rock work that create shadows. I bet it will look cool have a few anthias hanging out under one of those rocks.

That's some crazy rockwork. I can't wait to see what it will look like with corals on it!

I am also considering an AquaFuge too for my small tank.

Thanks guys. I'm so excited. I put salt in it today and started the return pump going. It's now just a matter of time.

I'm going to get some live sand from a friend's tank and some LR as well. I'm planning on keeping only LPS, Softies and polyps. I need this to be super simple to maintain while i'm gone...

Any progress with putting those rocks together? Or are you still trying to glue baffles in place? Really surprised you didn't make Marc make you a sump.
  17. Midnight's Avatar
Option two looks great as long as flow through your sump isn't so fast that micro bubbles are pushed under the baffle.

I just wish my coraline algae would focus on the rocks instead of my glass. :/

take your screen off the return pump, and put a 90 pointing down. this way it pulls from the bottom and doesnt create a vortex and suck air. plus it helps keep things from settling in the return section.

if your running a ATO, then the return sections doesnt have to be too big.
if no ATO, then the larger the return section, the less often you will have to top off. (too small, and top off 2 times a day, and larger enough, then every other day. )

so if you have a ATO, then its not as big of a concern.

what size filter sock are you using?
and have you looked into using the E-shopps new filter sock. its square and more of a space saving design if you need the extra space. just a thought.
and looks good by the way.
