    I think most of the sound is coming from the skimmer cups. It is as quiet as a can filter without the skimmers running. I may utilize the bakpak for filtration as it does a good job and switch to a Remora for skimming. Thanks for the responses.

    Also, the way the cup sits on the skimmer may allow some sound to get out.

    Bakpaks are noisy, there's not much you can do about it. Using an intake with a silencer for the air can help, but tends to get plugged up a lot.
