  1. 1 or 2 overflows?

I'm getting ready to order my overflow from www.Glass-holes.com for my 150. They make a 700 gph and a 1500 gph model, I'm planning to have about 700 to 800 gph return from my sump, so a single 700 would be marginal. So, do I get two 700's, one for each corner? Or a single 1500?

    700
Pros: small box in each corner, less shading in one area.
Con: tank and boxes need to be perfectly level or most of the water will be flowing down only one anyway.

  2. 150 Gal Build continued

Well, I spent most of the weekend pouring over my books and various web sites trying to figure out what I'm going to do with this tank. One of the issues is a 2' wide center brace that refuses to clean up. Something is clouding it that I can't even scrape off with a razor. Almost looks like it's etched. It's also low enough that the underside will always be covered in algae or salt creep. So the center of the tank is going to be a bit dark no matter what I do. So I think at least for now I'm ...

  3. New Tank Build - Coming Soon!

Just purchased a 150 Gal tank off Craig's List today. I'm picking it up Friday afternoon. The tank is 7' x 1.5' x 2', so same cross section as my current 65 Gal freshwater tank, but 4' longer! It comes with a pretty nice, very strong looking stand that is only 24" tall, this will work well since it will located along a short wall giving me close to 2 feet above for lighting. And also making for easy maintenance and viewing from couch height. This will be long, slow build as I have to make some ...

  4. Closed Loop pump size?

I've got a SCWD new in the box that's been sitting around for a few years. I've always been afraid to use it since i had hair algae problems and was afraid it would clog up continually. Well, the Algae problems are a thing of the past, so I'm dusting it off. My Tank is a 50 long, mixed reef.

Any idea what pump rating I should go with? I'm thinking around 1,000 gph.

Anyone have any experience with the Panworld pumps that BRS carries?

    Thanks
    Phil ...
