I couldn't agree more. The naming game drives me nuts as well. I try to track the latin names when possible, and nicknames when I'm trying to describe something to another hobbyist. But I haven't learned hardly any zoanthid names, and never know what people are talking about when they reference these. I'm too lazy to go to ZoaID to learn them either.
I had a pair in my angled tank that I caught during a collection trip in Galveston.
I just lost half of my greyishy clown goby pair so I did away with the mate. Sad times.
I love my lawnmower, if that counts as a grey fish. My fiance says she likes "his eyelashes"
I'll second Jessy's comment. I love a lot of fish for their unique shape or behavior, regardless of color. And goby/shimp pairs are my favorites. Phil
I like some fish for the small things about them. I love my tail spot blenny so much! And he's basically just a brown little fish
Grey fish? Do silvery Chromis count? Or Lawnmower blennies? Spock can be grey as well, if she's happy. Heck, she's like a mood ring.
It's been a few days, and the starfish is still visible in my refugium, half-buried in the sand. It hasn't moved much from its spot under the RBTA and clownfish pair.
I'm reading online that is can be, although it may eat clams / mollusks.
I have found star fish like that on our beach. I didn't know they were reef safe...
I don't care who ya are this is funny right here but dude, the purple, spikiness, all of that, i want :-\
A good laugh! I hope your bravery turns into brilliance!
