well after a few months i finally got my new pump installed. i have a 110g tall dt, 45g refugium, 50g sump. i drilled my dt for a sort of closed loop, with 4 returns. but i only drilled 2-1 1/2" drains. so running the bean drains with 1 full siphon, and 1 emergency i can't really have a closed loop, so i have to run it through the sump. the dart i originally bought on the advise of a local dealer wasn't enough to pump upstairs. he wouldn't take the pump back for exchange even though it ...
first off im sorry for the horrible pictures, for some reason when my camera focuses its making the picture wayyy to dark and i have to correct the exposure to compensate washing out all the color :s it really sucks i finally got rid of my cyano!! i though it would never go away, even after treating the tank twice with medication..It came back! I stumbled across the solution to my problem while I was attempting rule out possible culprits, it turns out the cause was direct sunlight coming ...
Did a lot of work to the tank last night and this morning. Last night I did a really thorough cleaning where I blew off all of the rocks and stirred the sand around as I did my water change. Cleaned off all the glass this morning and such as well. Because of the cleaning I've got some diatoms this evening. They weren't there yesterday... and I doubt they'll be there tomorrow. At least I hope they're gone! ;-) I've got some new corals since the last time I took pics too. I've got two blue ...

I took some pictures this evening so that I can have a photo record of the coral growth. I though I would share the pictures for those who might be interested. A few things I have noticed: - They do not lie when they say birdsnest is a fast grower! - The red planet frag I got was a light red when I got it. I placed it lower in the tank and it now has its trade mark green base and darker red branches. - FYI and reminder, these are all under Aqua Illumination Sol Super Blue LED ...
