  1. Upgrading to 75g! :)

After some discussion with my better half, I recently started purchasing components for my next tank!

The tank will be an Oceanic 75g RR with a yet undetermined size sump/fuge underneath.

Lighting will be a DIY LED build and will consist of:
    • 30 x CREE XP-E Royal Blue
    • 10 x CREE XP-E Blue
    • 20 x CREE XP-G Neutral White R3
The lighting will be driven by 6 Thomas Research Products Drivers - 4x 25W for the blues and 2x 38W for the whites.
    Lighting will be dimmable ...
  2. 30 day FTS and build(fixed)

It's been awhile since my last post and my 180 is up and running. After 6 months im glad to finally have a few pieces of livestock in the tank. So far it consists of 4 pj's 2 firefish 4 turbo snails and 10 red leg hermit crabs. Going to be adding to the clean up crew over the next month and will wait till the tanks been running for awhile longer before I start adding any corals. After having issues with the sand I feel that i probally didnt clean it well enough before adding it to the main tank ...

2nd I made a cardboard template so when I bent the acrylic I could make sure the 1 piece side was correct.

  4. My tongan nassarius snails have been dirty lately....

Fiance told me that she woke up to see them laying eggs on the front glass. She didnt get any pictures of the act, but she did send me some of the egg patch. Hopefully at least a few make it out of this.

    Thought I would share...

I have added a few corals here and there and got a calcium reactor online. This Month I finally got around to hanging the light fixture which has made the reef look a whole lot better and has created easier access to work within the tank. I also yanked out some rock and re aquascaped which still has the fishies hiding ...
