Tank Entry

Finally decided on my dream setup, so I went ahead and ordered an Elos 70 system. In a month or so I'll have all the parts delivered and ready to get wet, but in the meantime here's a product list.

Hardware

• Elos 70 system
• Icecap 250w pendant/ballast + 14k Phoenix bulb
• Vortech mp40ES
• Spectrapure RO/DI (sorry Melev, saved on shipping!)
• 50lbs. of 'reef saver' rock from BRS
• x2 American DJ 4-plug strips
• Azoo quad fan

UPDATE

Sump Glass arrived. . .8mm thickness. Initially my plan was to convert existing aquarium as sump and existing sump as frag tank, but do not want to disturb my corals. I will transfer old tank stuff once 300G get mature.

So I'm most likely going to be bombarded with various post telling me that I am absolutely nuts for thinking about setting up an aquarium without a sump. But my wife purchased a standard 120 gallon All-Glass aquarium for me for Fathers Day and rather then take the aquarium back to the store to imply that she did something wrong I would rather run with it. Besides I know that a sump has many uses and provides for a broader spectrum of equipment to be used but in my thinking really what is a sump ...

My tank is doing good. Oscellaris clowns and Green BTA seem to be enjoying their new home. They have been in the tank for about a month now. My understanding of corals is that the softies are a little less maintenance that sps/lps so I think I am going to take a trip to Fintastic in Charlotte and see what I can get.



I do have a bit of green algae left ...

My angled tank is turning three next month. And I've been contemplating a new tank in that spot. I came up with an idea today, which I think will be amazing. Hopefully I can build it in the next couple of weeks. I know you guys want all the details, but I'd prefer to reveal it once completed. It'll be a little bit bigger, it'll have a nifty way of looking at it, and it'll incorporate a Vortech MP10 internally. I'm stoked!
