  2. The stand has moved in!

    Ok addicts the stand has moved in from the garage YAY!. The sump needs to be dropped in from the top so here is a shot of the stand with the top off. That's the wall the tank will permanently house. I'm really liking the color contrast between the expresso colored stand and the wall. Since the stand base is metal it weighs about 300lbs. The 120 will have to be moved and the stand will have to be centered on the wall prior to dropping the sump into the stand. There's no way to push the stand without ...

  3. Sad day for the 29

    Came home today and was missing my little clownfish, Waggles. Looked all around and found him, turned into jerky, laying on top of the baseboard heater.

    He was the third permanent (I say permanent because I didn't know any better than to follow a particular fish store's advice and used damsels to cycle the tank when it was first set up...sorry.) fish in the 29.   4. Houston we have a problem...

    Today I got to work on my sump. Fun times until I hit a snag... ugh... again. OK I don't have pics to post so I will need you guys to put on your imagination hats on. My sump is a 110 gal tank 6 feet long. My original plan was to place the external pump next to the sump making the total length of sump and dart pump about a little less than 7 feet. After measuring it all out it fits perfect inside the stand (without the plumbing parts). After trying to add all the plumbing it will not fit.
